Spring Weddings


Tulips for Spring Tulips, the very essence of Spring, sparkle at this March wedding.   This arm bouquet of French tulips, standard tulips bound with pink spray roses and baby’s breath is adorned with crystal beads repeating the crystals on the gown.  Similar bouquets of Lucky Strike tulips bound with alstroemeria and baby’s breath contrast the bridesmaids’ black dresses.  Family monograms greet guest at Old Peacthtree Presbyterian Church.

Yellow and Purple Garden Theme This modern version of a shower bouquet is a profusion of spring flowers.  The purple wax flower, yellow ranunculus, blue scabiosa, lavender roses, blue delphiniums, yellow iris, yellow lillies, and long grasses are arranged in a silver straight bouquet holder and held facing down.  For this Arizona home wedding of yellow and purple, the bridesmaids’ carried arm bouquets of the same flowers that appear to be gathered from the home’s gardens.  Even the groom has colorful ranunculus, delphinium, and wax flower in a silver lapel pin.

White for a Spring Wedding This bride’s bouquet of roses and lisianthius is nestled in a spring bird’s nest of baby’s breath. The home reception added pink for a color burst in the railing garland and cake. The bride’s collection of family hobnail and milk glass vases were used to hold lisianthius and roses nestled among generational family photos on the fireplace mantle in the room where guest were received.

Blue and yellow – The colors of Spring rain and sunshine!

The handtied bouquet of blue hydrangea supporting cream  roses and yellow sweetheart roses is wrapped in rouched satin and  accented with a blue orchid.  The bridesmaids’ blue dresses are complemented with sunshine warm yell0w roses, sunflowers, and sweetheart roses with a hint of blue berries.   The wedding ceremony color scheme was carried into the reception just down the staircase from the Perimeter Presbyterian Church chapel.  A combination of low centerpieces — round bowls of blue hydrangea, yellow roses and sunflowers under water, as well as, tall centerpiece — cylinders of yellow mokara orchids on silver wire, also under water,with floating candles.
